Build Information
This glider was acquired from a friend in Newcastle, who imported a few kits from Barry Kennedy in the US. The kits arrived a bit bashed around, but the contents were fine.
The Fineworx Miles 2M glider is a rudder/elevator(/spoiler) 2M built up balsa glider from Turkey, with the looks of an open-class glider, and a tail like a hand-launch. A lot of respected people are raving about it, and so I decided to have a look at one.
Hopefully this glider will compete well against the established First 2M gliders in the Millennium Cup competition. As the wing is built up, there’s a good chance it won’t cope with a two-man tow launch, and as such, I’m planning to include some carbon capping in the spars, and potentially also wrapping the spar with kevlar thread.
